Certain breeds of fish feed at night, making night fishing a popular hobby, and the inspiration behind our Night Fishing Moon Phase Clock. Many anglers swear that their biggest catches are during the full moon and the new moon. The reasoning is that the strongest tides happen during these moon phases, and as the theory goes, the bigger the tide, the more active the fish!
It rotates once every 29.5 days to indicate the various phases of the lunar cycle, perfect for planning a midnight fishing trip. The exact lunar cycle is 29 days, 12 hours and 44 minutes for this reason it is recommended to reset your clock during a full moon to ensure continued accuracy.
Set in a weather-proof, slate grey casing, which has been powder-coated for a smooth finish, the ClimeMET 4610 Moon Phase Clock can be mounted either indoors or outdoors if sheltered.
To set your moon phase clock, consult the ClimeMET Moon Phase Calendar and move the large hand round to the correct position on the dial. Your moon phase clock will then keep time with the lunar cycle.
If you would like your weather dial engraved, please select personalisation when adding this item to your shopping basket, and enter the required text (up to 25 characters). Engraved items are suitable for indoor use only.
